Mendoza and Bariloche are two cities in Argentina that’s famous for their natural sceneries and outdoor activities. These cities have striking similarites with only a few things that sets them apart from each other. Because of the many things that Mendoza and Bariloche share, you can you can visit just one of these cities during your trip to Argentina and never regret not having visited the other.
Bariloche has more outdoor activities and natural sceneries compared to Mendoza. Three of the best Bariloche tourist attractions include Cerro Tronador, Circuito Chico, and Los Siete Lagos. They highlight the best aspect of the city and that is its naturally beautiful landscape.
Cerro Tronador is famous for two things. One is that it is where you will find Ventisquero Negro, a distinctly black glacier. Cerro Tronador also has this beautiful overhanging cliff called Saltillo de las Nalcas from which a waterfall pours over. Circuito Chico is a 60 kilometer route open for biking and hiking activities. You can see the pristine lakes and towering mountains surrounding the city from there. Los Siete Lagos comprises of the city’s seven lakes which you can tour for an entire day.
A lot of people travel the world just to taste the wine of Mendoza. The city is one of the world’s finest producers of wine. And so among its best attractions are its vineyards and cellars. If you’re lucky on a wine tour, you can sample a few wines for free.
Other Mendoza tourist attractions include Aconagua and Cerro Arco. Aconagua is the highest peak in America and the world’s second highest next to the Himalayas. Cerro Arco is a mountain on the north west part of the city and gives a view of the Andes mountain foothills and the city’s flatlands. Hiking both mountains will be worthwhile considering all the beautiful things you can see from there.
